How Do You Handle This?

Hi, All

We are getting more and more comments like this:

"Great video! We subscribed your channel. Welcome our channel please :)"

These types of comments are showing up in the "likely spam" section of our comments area. While we love our fellow youtubers and definitely want to help them grow, we just can't possibly sub and reply to all of the comments. Currently there are nearly 200 of these types of comments. It would take all day and more and then the next day there would be 100 more.

Welcome to the forum. Honestly I get these messages all the time. 90% of the time I find these people NEVER actually subscribe to your channel and even if they do. They dont stay engaged with your content. I would just ignore them. I myself did this in the very beginning and now wish I didnt. It comes off a bit scummy.

In my opinion I get these comments all the time. Some I take a look at their channel or block them for promoting their channel on my page.

I would personally just ignore and move on.. maybe even leave in the spam folder unless you personally know them or there content.. but even then I find it kind of rude..

These aren not your fellow youtubers, they're leeches.
Report them as spam and be done with it.

I just delete the ones I get, usually it's channels larger than mine too which is weird. I let one through once because it was actually relevant to a video I did, oddly enough, and I felt like it might continue the conversation for viewers interested. I'm pretty sure that's the only time I'm going to let it slide though.

I like to give new channels a chance, just as other channels had headed over to us when we were new and subscribed and supported us. We've actually developed several very good relationships with channels discovered through commenting. So for channels commenting this way on our videos, I usually head over and check out their content, watch a video or 2 if the thumbnails and content look professional, and subscribe. There are some really good creators out there with original content just starting out, commenting and asking to check out their channel is a good way to reach out and make contacts.
