How do you guys advertise your videos?

I use twitter, YTtalk, and other video sharing forums. Sometimes I even private message people about a specific video or series I'm doing asking them to please check it out and to sub if they liked it.
 
I try to use a lot of stuff. But yeah just like others say. Facebook, twitter, here, etc. Just trying to tell as many people as I can really.
 
I mainly use Facebook, Twitter and YTtalk. I have tried other methods, such as Instagram, Video Responses and all that fancy stuff.. But, it seems that "Word of Mouth" is one of the best ways to grow.

Word of Mouth is when someone tells their friends about you, and then they tell their friends and so on.. Many businesses rely on this strategy to get started.
 
See, I find advertising a difficult one. Yes there are various places to advertise, but you still need the people to advertise to. And then, you don't want to be promoting yourself to the same people over and over and directly contacting people you have no link with at all. Because that's just bad form. It's just luck, post a link someone, hope someone shares it and the next person shares it ect ect ect ect

I post on forums that I already go to anyways. I mostly post to forums with people who have similar interests, not just to get views but to share my experiences. I've promoted a few on other sites just for the sake of views before and it got a lot of trolls responding....
 
I've noticed a definite increase in views since I started posting on this forum, so I'd say Yttalk is a pretty good resource. I've also gotten views from posting comments on videos that are like ours (not "hey watch my channel!" but "haha that was funny" etc.). A few of my comments have been liked enough that they sit at the top of the page, so people see and click through to my channel.
