How do you get noticed on YouTube

Hi guys was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I can get my channel noticed and get subscribers? Thinking of maybe doing some vlogs but I still want to do play throughs of games :S

  • Profesional looking thumbnails
  • Nice channel art
These help a lot however if you just keep at it then you will start gain subs easily. You can also use social media in order to gain subs through advertising.

Some of the best ways to get noticed..

  1. Networking
  2. Collaborating
  3. Self-Promotion
  4. (gaming only) play new/upcoming games (indie games)
  5. Don't play overplayed games. These won't get views.

Thanks Kate, I think I've got descent enough thumbnails and my channel art needs redoing I basically just quickly made it so something was there lol ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1396616514,1396616440][/DOUBLEPOST]Okay thanks Andrew I'll keep those in mind XD

Well the thumbnails are just a picture from the series and a number, they aren't really eye catching and on some I can only just see the number. This may just me being me as an art student though xD

Also you might want to change your channel layout to the 1 where you can display a channel trailer and playlists. That way people can view your recent uploads with ease. Hover over your channel name (on your channel page) and to the far right you should see a pen box. Click it and go to "Channel navigation" and enable browse.

Trick question: you don't get noticed.

Just kidding :p I could make a huge paragraph about how to get noticed but to make it simple the best ways to do it are networking, decent thumbnails and excellent videos at a consistent rate. If you're consistent it can keep subs active and then if your videos are good then they will want to share them with other people :)

At the same time, playing a game that isn't popular will get even less views, so that doesn't really make all that much of a difference.
I didn't say play a game that isn't popular, I said don't play overplayed ones. Like minecraft.
