How do you get a 'Verified' tick?

Hey guys!
So I'm wondering, for you guys out there that have the 'Verified' Badge, how did you do it?
How long did the process take? What does it require?
How did you get it!? :o
 
Channels usually acquire it after about 100K subscribers. There used to be set requirements, but youtube has changed the process of how they verify people and now only say you need substantial subscribers and google+ followers.
Lately however, I have found quite a few channels that have been verified in the last month with only 2-3K subscribers and a few hundred or less Google+ followers. I asked them how they received it, and they replied that "someone hooked them up" so maybe all you have to do is have friends in high places? They wouldn't go in to any more detail...
 
I think MCNs used to be able to give them out, I believe all you had to do was contact your partner manager, I'm pretty sure this is not the case anymore however and now Google will determine if you're legible or not.
 
Some time ago networks were able to give them out but now they can't anymore ,google will decide when you have a noticeable amount of interactive fans,subs,and g+ followers,there's no form to fill in,no way to ask it,google will do it itself when they think that you are good enough
 
I would do it But I believe you need an official website to link it to. please correct me, cause I want to get one, It might help because people re-post my vids a lot

you don't need a website,if people repost your videos ,use content-id (google it if you want to) and the tick,google will give it when they think that you're eligible

thanks for the response, I thin the confusion comes from the advances setting on my channel, where it says:
"Associated website
Tell us if your channel is associated with another website. This will help us improve the quality of our search results and verify your channel as the official representation of your brand on YouTube."
 
usually website is needed for custom url but there's no procedure to follow to get verified tick really
