how do you feel about youtubers uploading fake content

ok so before i begin this is not a hate video im just looking for info and opinions. for privacy reason i wont mention any names or the like. ok here goes i have been watching a fellow youtuber for a while whom i wont name and i have seen loads of videos where people claim his videos are fake and scripted. he has gotten over 2million subs from these fake videos, and ill admit in some of his videos u can tell there fake/scripted by the way he does some of the things in thoes videos he has said multiple times his videos are real but there not for obvious reasons, are his videos scripted yes there scripted like a skit but made to try and make people think there real. for example you say your videos are real yet in one of your videos a person is bangging on your door loud and hard because its locked yet at the same time there holding the doorknob then seconds later they kick the door down and you say its real?

again no hate here i guess what im wondering is how do some of you guys feel about the select few youtubers who make money via ad revenue by uploading fake scripted videos and supposedly lie to there subcribers? obviously if they admitted there content was fake theyd love subs and money

theres a difference in my opinion between fake and scripted ie a scripted video is a video with real life content for example your doing a product review of the latest android smartphone and want to memorise what to say and have a script thats one thing but to upload fake content where viewers can tell its fake and to say its real thats different so how do u guys feel

honestly it frustraits me when people make money off of others by uploading fake content

I don't think that's necessarily true. Most entertainment these days have some sort of fakeness or scripting to them. Obviously movies and TV shows, including reality TV. And of course goes the saying "you shouldn't believe everything you see on the internet". If you're entertained by it, that's all I think would matter. But sure, the magic is ruined for some people when they find out their YouTuber is playing a character.
 
It depends on the content. if the content is all solely on the purpose of entertainment - 0 f*cks if it's fake or not, but if the video is someone saying something that isn't true or stating lies as facts - that's when it's a problem.
 
I get what you mean, If someone is a big fan and or a loyal fan to a certain youtuber they don't want to be lied to when you can tell you are being lied to. At the same time they are there for entertainment so its what they have to do or maybe its just how it looks but maybe it is in some way real? I know I would never try to ever lie to fans if I was a big known youtuber because they are the people who got you to where you are, i mean you had a big part in getting yourself to where you are but they pushed you higher so I see what you mean!
 
I make videos where a cat tells people about self esteem, and pigs and squirrels help me to cook in the kitchen, so I can't really comment on "fake" videos. I mean, I guess if people think what you're doing is real, then there'd be a certain amount of betrayal at learning things are scripted, but you'd have to be pretty sure of the idea you wouldn't get sued by someone to do something like, say, a prank video with real people who didn't know who you are and what you're doing.
 
i dont have the person in question i just dont agree with him leing to his fans and saying his vlogs are real when u can tell there fake
 
hmmm...if they're planning a character its fine then. But if they're telling obvious lies to boost their numbers then they should be called out on their BS
 
i have called them out numerous time worst part is they also do fan mail where people send him gifts like some one sent him an xbox one because supossedly his dad busted his i think its sad that he exploits these people for his views and money
