How do you feel about a higher dislike ratio?

I have seen your video and many of your other video's but maybe this one got more/different audience due to the PPAP hype and disliked it due to them being fedup with the PPAP videos? Checked some other parodies but they seem fine with like/dislike ratio.
Your other crush videos seem to have an okay like ratio too, don't think crushing food instead would make a difference either. I checked a few other crushing food videos and they don't seem to have a problem with this on their channel either. Really strange you got so many dislikes.

Often times it's not the video itself people dislike but the fact that anything they don't like is associated with the video. PPAP is polarizing because it's funny to some people and annoying to others.

If I were to watch a video, my first focus is on the likes/dislikes ratio. Not saying that it applies to yours but based on my experience, videos that have dislikes outnumbering the likes tended to be clickbaity, against the norm, uninformative, or a tasteless parody of the original.

Very true, I don't like the appearance of a higher dislike ration. I've removed it from public view.

Probably people are sick of it.
Behind the scenes I got a few comments about why we are crushing and wasting a perfectly good pineapple? I deleted those, but in hindsight I should have replied to them. It makes me want to crush more. Another channel had a cool video where they busted a watermelon. Watermelons are $1.99/kg in the shop, will wait till the price drops to $0.99 then invest in one and bust it up.
 
lol thats so funny. i think i know why so many dislikes.

i was searching ppap the other week and i noticed yours was at the top of search. not easy to do since there were so many ppap videos. i think yours had higher ranking because you had a built in base of viewers who gave it a good amount of views. and once you started ranking for ppap you were probably getting a bunch of young adults looking for ppap challenge videos. i read somewhere this was particularly trending in the philippines.

i made our video in anticipation the trend would grow outward and become viral in the US. if it grew bigger then im sure other kid channels would have been doing one too and I might have a chance to show in suggested. but for some reason it hasn't really hit the US. not sure why. also same with the typhoon that hit busan south korea this week. the videos are crazy but they're not trending on youtube and i had trouble finding news in google news. i have seen other typhoon earthquake tsunami disasters trend on youtube. not sure why the busan one is invisible.

anyways so yea just the wrong demographic is seeing your ppap.
 
Ive got several videos on my channel with a larger dislike ratio. I take everyone with pride.
It got watched and had some activity. I take all activity good or bad as progress.

3 days into the hype. Saw it on day 2 but took a while to figure out the best way to approach it - when it doubt, crush it.[DOUBLEPOST=1475839183,1475838991][/DOUBLEPOST]

Makes sense - a lot of the jaded comments are from an older crowd, tell by the language and references. Either way the ratio is off public view, and even if it's hated upon, it made back the cost of the $3.99 pineapple and 4 apples. Oh and the pens...

Wow, I would have thought it should have been quick enough to respond, 3 days is hardly late right? FTR might be right though indeed that it was not picked up by kids channels and therefore you got mixed in with the older people. If it was picked up by other large kids channels you could have had gold in hand.
