How Do You Decide What to Call Your Fans?

I've Got It
I know that I am a Blockhead because I love the New Kids on the Block. I am not a Gladiator because I do not watch Scandal. But- you get my point. I am trying to call my viewers something besides "viewers" or "Fans".

How did you decide what to call your viewers? Do they simply name themselves? How do you think these fan groups got their names?
 
something to do with you as a brand, for example I used my favorite animal as my theme for my channel and now my fans are the #TigerArmy :)

That's a good name for fans. The TigerArmy. I like it.

I am a mental health and personal success teacher. I teach how to overcome life's struggles by taking big risks and allowing my viewers to watch me as I do them, and mostly fumble and fail, but I always bounce back. I hope to teach people how to be self sufficient and happy with who they are without aiming for perfection.
 
Jeriers and Antonites.

Those are terrible, but they're extensions of my stage/internet name (JeriKane), and my real name (Anthony). Plus I got the 'nites' part from Kane and WWE. Kane's fans are called Kanenites. :rolleyes:

So I drew inspiration from a few different things and put them together. Maybe you could take two things you liked and find some way to combine them..? D: Or maybe letting them name themselves after a while would be best.

I call mine the Munchito696'ers, it just rolls off the tongue
 
I've toyed around with the idea but I can't decide if I want to name them or not. It doesn't bother me personally so I guess they can choose :)
 
I really like the idea of letting your followers decide for themselves. But you'd probably get more targeted and better results if you start them off with some hints. Give them a few bad examples and ask them to come up with good examples.
