How do you deal with negative comments?

I've never deleted one, and sometimes I reply with something witty, but they do kind of grind at your confidence after a while. I get comments calling me fat or saying I'm ugly, even saying I'm autistic. Of course I kind of ask for it promoting my videos on 4chan.

How do you deal with negativity in your comments section?

but ya, I just usually think of something smart witted towards it since they can never give a good insult, or I just ignore it
 
I haze them on social media lol. It's literally my favorite thing to do lol. I rarely respond to their actual comment, I usually just remove it. If it's completely unnecessary I block the user.

Majority of the time the person is just trying to get to you, and responding to them doesn't help the situation at all. It's best to ignore it, and move on.
 
I kick them in the throat.

I don't know what I'd do about a negative comment. Probably just be like "thanks for watching." I wouldn't delete a comment unless it's a spam link or something. I'll leave all negative comments though.

Then kick them in the throat for real.
 
Back in 2011 when i had a "troll" channel, i was having fun with this group of trolls the trolled my comments section doxxed me and the ringleader of the "gang of trolls" made a video response to me. This all started because i made a video supporting Coppercab, i guess that video didn't make it obvious enough that i was trolling. To answer the question though, i dealt with it well. I just played along with them and with their games, even when they doxxed me. (sadly for them, they got the info completely wrong.)
 
You can also take comfort in the fact that because they didn't like your video, you've already got one over on them as they had to watch it! (Not suggesting you make unbearable videos)

Plus dislikes and likes count all the same on YouTube so they really help you without meaning to. Try and pay it no heed :)

Did you use your real name? My name may or may not be real, wink wink, nudge nudge. I hope they never try.

Only my first, but they visited my Facebook that i had linked in the description and looked through my friends list, found my father, looked him up in the white pages, found his (old) address and outdated phone number. Apparently he searched him up because he though i said i lived with my father... which i didn't (lul) so they assumed that was my address, they tried to call and harass my dad, didn't work out, so they eventually just fled.

I hear about a lot of doxxes where they find the parents. They just can't dox like they used to. My name comes from James T. Kirk, and the weather channel being on and them mentioning Doppler radar.
