How do you deal with criticism.

Take it in stride. From what information I have recently gathered from stalking you, it seems like you have rarely any dislikes on your videos and tons of likes! Many people don't go to the trouble to like a video, like at all! Mine get like no likes! Hahahahaha..........wordplay. Anyways... There has got to be a bright side to that!

So today I posted my video on some website from another account( self promo is big no no there haha) and this girl was like " in hope it's not your video because this girl is so f*****g annoying, watch her other videos, she is so not funny"
I cannot stop thinking about it. I am afraid to make new video...
How do you deal with this stuff?
At least the person said "watch her other videos". I'll take those views any way I can get them.
By the way I checked out your videos and I didn't find you annoying at all! You are cute and funny.

LOL I got that once. I posted some of my game videos and rants on a videogame group on facebook. Some random jerk was like 'so when did this group became a place to post horrible review videos?'. I said I'd stop, and the guy said (I guess not realizing I was the one in the videos) 'thank goodness, that guy is horrible!'.

I don't know, I was able to ignore it since I continue to get good comments on my channel. I mean, can't please anybody.

Might want to revise that last sentence xD

I watched a bit of your most recent video. There are multiple forms that criticism takes whether constructive or destructive. For example, I don't like your content and won't watch it, but that's not because it's not good, merely because it's not the kind of thing I personally enjoy watching. It has nothing to do with you not being funny or any such thing as a fair number of your jump cuts were actually quite clever. I think there's some good criticism that can be directed your way in the areas of audio quality and editing, but there are far bigger channels with far worse audio quality and editing than you.

I learned very early on that YouTube criticism comes in these two forms. You MUST learn to disregard the destructive and embrace the constructive or your YouTube journey will end quickly. Your videos have a very solid like/dislike ratio and IMO, the only time where even destructive criticism needs to be considered as potentially valid is when it outweighs the positive or constructive comments. When that happens, and it has or will happen to all of us, sometimes it's a good idea to take a really honest look at the piece of content in question and honestly ask the question of yourself whether it's good or not.

Growing a thick skin is really needed for YouTube. It seems no matter what you do, there will always be people that don't enjoy it, and some people get really vocal about what they don't like on the internets. Maybe they are miserable people and they want everyone to be miserable like themselves, who knows. As Tarmack stated, you have a lot of people that already enjoy your content and liked your videos, and a decent number of subscribers for a starter, so it's obvious what they said isn't true. Don't let a few trolls discourage you.

Thank you guys you are so nice :)
Yeah I know I still suck at editing. For me the worst think someone can say about my is saying that my personality sucks. I don't care if someone says i'm ugly and stuff. But when someone says I'm annoying I think about it for a long time.
I guess I need to have thicker skin and just keep doing it. Hahah we are all in this together

You stick to what you are doing, don't let ANY criticism get you down. If you're doing what you love, you don't have to stop! It doesn't matter what ANYONE else thinks as long as it's making you happy that's all that matters.

Comments like that just give you a feeling in your body and some thoughts in your head, it doesn't take anything away from you or make you lesser. In my 20,000+ hate comment history, it's not like I grew thicker skin, it's just that it flat out doesn't matter.

If someone criticizes me online than I usually starve myself for 15 days so that I can fit into a smaller dress size.
