At first... When I got my first dislike... I was alittle disappointed, because I made so much effort into my videos.
Then.... I Search and googled for answers.. That's where I found Yt talk community. They have another similar thread.

What I can advise is, do not take it at heart. People could dislike your videos all kind of reason, or its probably a troll. Or maybe the title/thumbnail doesn't fit your content that is misleading... (Example: hot babe thumbnail but content is about cooking with mama)

I actually feel good. There will always be people liking and disliking your videos. You will get fans and you will get haters. By accomplishing all of this, it shows that you're doing something right. just make sure majority likes your video though, if you have like 10 likes and 20-30 dislikes, you're doing something wrong.

Yea! Think positive about it. Maybe its just a little troll kid who just happen to click on your vid and spam dislikes. How i wish youtube would bring back that 5 star rating rather than likes and dislikes

It's so easy to be careless on the internet. In my opinion dislikes don't mean that much. Maybe the video wasn't the person's cup of tea - whatever the cause, it certainly doesn't mean that your work is bad. That's what I learned: never associated a dislike with something being bad. Just shrug it off and keep getting even better ^^

Just try to ignore it. It may be a blow, but at the same time it may be a sign that you may be doing something wrong.

No. The change of the 5 star rating, is probably the best thing that have happened to YouTube. People would either give u a 5 stars or a 1 star, nobody would give a 3 or a 4. The like and dislike feature is 10x better.
