How do you calm down while on camera?

Not sure if this is in the right section, I apologize if it's not.

How do you calm yourself down while on camera? I've noticed that when I start my videos I'm kind of nervous and tense but as the video progresses I relax a bit more. Do you have any tips on how to stay relaxed from start to finish?
Im kind of like that now, I mess up a lot. But when I first started back in 2010 or so, I was right into it. No nervousness or even mess ups. Its just practice we both need. Remember editing exists so keep relaxed and just be yourself. :D

Really? That's weird. I didn't notice that when watching your videos, but that's just weird. What's more is that I went to your channel before reading your comment, meaning I didn't try to look hard at all in the beginning and I found nothing! :D I think you're doing a pretty good job! I guess you're nervous on the inside huh? I guess maybe taking some really deep breaths could help. Just keep up the good work :)

It may be that I'm good at hiding it or you really have to know me in order to see the difference. I just don't talk the same as I do when I'm more relaxed. Toward the end I end up improvising and speaking my mind more than I do at the beginning. I also screw up the intro a bunch of times before I get one that I consider good enough to use. For some reason I seem to have a problem transitioning from saying hi into what I want to talk about. It seems so simple but it never sounds right to me. I appreciate you saying that, though, it should help me relax a bit more knowing it's not as noticeable to other people. Thanks for watching!

just act like the camera is your friend, talk to your fans as if you're just chilling. if you can make that your mindset, nothing matters, just don't overdo it. Not all offensive jokes are ok with the camera rolling haha.

There are lots of warm ups, Before we start filming any of our skits I like to just spend 5 minutes hanging out, telling jokes and doing a little improv. Help create a relaxed vibe.

However even after all that some days I just don't feel it. So I have a few steps to warm me, I have using this warm up for almost 10 years and it always works for me
Breath in and out a few times
I then pull faces, (usually one extreme to another, so I make my face really big and scrunch it up like a lemon)
Shake myself out from head to toe
Do something silly like Sing the first verse and chorus of "What did the fox say" as loud as you can. Re an act a scene from a movie in front of a mirror, find a random object around you and make a story about it on the spot.
You essentially want to break down your inhibitions and become more playful, lead your mind into an open mode.
But above all practice helps alot, it's important to stay relaxed and playful and accepted that you won't get it right ever time, just continue to have fun with it. Embrace the Chaos!

Being confident in the material will help a lot. Practicing more before you start recording is a start.
For me, if I am having a tough time with my intro segment, I will try to have more of a speaking tone and slow down a bit.

I'm nervous all the time during recording but like you, it gets easier towards the end. If you saw it before editing there's a massive difference. For a 3-5 min video edited down I usually cut out about 10-15 mins of mess ups, retakes and general coughing and pauses.

I have 3 vids on my channel but I have done a few more that have since been deleted and I have ofund it is getting easier each time. So yeah, with practice things do become easier and you will get more comfortable

To be honest, Its all up to you.. Its your Craziness as a vlogger that attracts audience. You dont have to be calm, Be energetic because i guarantee that if you are trying to control yourself to be calm then you are trying too hard to impress. Be yourself, its all the viewers can ask for

I'm not trying hard to be calm as in hiding myself, trying to be calm as in not nervous. Big difference.
