How do you calm down while on camera?

Not sure if this is in the right section, I apologize if it's not.

How do you calm yourself down while on camera? I've noticed that when I start my videos I'm kind of nervous and tense but as the video progresses I relax a bit more. Do you have any tips on how to stay relaxed from start to finish?

I don't really relax on camera. I used to get really nervous, but the more you make videos, the easier it becomes.

Since I vlog and make skits, where I'm on camera most of the video, I tend to jump around, dance, and make facial expressions with the camera on. It relaxes me, loosens me up and If some of the stuff is funny, I may toss it into video.

I was thinking that I might just sit there and talk to the camera as if it was part of the video. The problem is I may just realize its not for the video then not car about how it came out and therefore not actually get and anxiety out.

I'd practice the video once or twice, and get what you are going to say down, and then it should be fine. You'll be more relaxed in front of the camera the more you do it.

Very good point. Scripts help alot, or web outlines to capture your ideas and the direction the video is going. Also, if your going to trim the video, it's good to say some lines multiple times so you have a variety to choose from ( Some dialogue lines I do one take of, but some jokes and lines I'll take maybe 3 takes of) .

I always have a general outline of what it is I am going to say. I normally end up doing multiple takes on each topic unless I happen to be able to string together something that sounds good enough in one take.
