How do my keywords work?

My most successful video keeps going down the list of ranking, I was about the third top result for Minecraft Roll the Dice but now I'm about 12th. I'm not sure what determines the ranking system but I have Minecraft roll the dice in the title description and tags multiple times. Is there any advice to help me get back to the top?

as that kind of minecraft thing gets more popular, less people will see yours and more people will see others.
plus, the older something gets, the more hidden away it gets by others.

First off, YouTube recently changed to a new search ranking system.
Second as the above user said, if a style/minigame of Minecraft gets popular, bigger creators will make a video of it, and their's will tend to rank higher.

But I am still ranked up above channels that have over 500k subscribers, I'm just still confused on how that works out.

School is taking up a majority of my time right now, this Monday though I have plans to upload again!

The new algorithm uses watch time to determine ranking. Once watch time is established, tag are basically meaningless if you already have them in the title/description. Watch time factors in both watch time from the video and overall session watch time when someone watches a video/videos on your channel.

With that said I am still glad to know that I outrank some of the really big channels out there!
