How do I use Current Momentum to Grow my Channel?

Hey everyone - I just had a pretty large boom in numbers going from just under 200 subscribers to around 1300 in the matter of days after being featured in a top anime content creator list from a rather large channel. And while the growth was huge the numbers of course are starting to dwindle down day after day.

What's the best way to "snowball" after breaking the 1K sub threshold? What do you guys find are good ways to promote and use any momentum (big or small) you've gotten on Youtube thus far?

Thanks!

I've never really experienced this but I think that you just need to create consistenly now more than ever. Let people know that you want to keep creating and you're thankful for the sudden boost in activity!

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get featured? Because that's really cool! :)

That's awesome, I have been slowly snowballing but no means that large at a time. I was also curious what is the best thing to do other than keep putting out videos. Maybe that is all we can do =)

I don't think there's such a thing as "slowly snowballing" almost as to say you are "rapidly growing to a stop" lol -- to the OP -- That's pretty awesome dude, I'm still waiting for that day I get a boost in SUBS, just keep doing what you do - you'll have steady traffic.

Make videos targeting the keywords of the most highly trafficked video. That way you build more authority for those keywords.

You could, though, say "suffering rapid exponential decay to oblivion"

I guess what I meant was I was getting 17 subs a day for awhile lately I am getting 30-45 a day and just want to continue that. I don't want to hijack the main topic though so just go back to him =) Sorry.

I've been fortunate to get a few features as well. Other than sitting enthusiastically and enjoying the subscriber numbers go up, you should definitely post more content right away. Post something that is relevant to your featured video. It doesn't necessarily have to be on par with it, but at least be some sort of extension to it. After all, that's why the people subscribed to you. Give them more of something they wanted in the first place. Just know that the worst thing you can do is become stagnant when a wave of subscribers show up. Once you let up, the numbers will start dwindling. That happened to me not too long ago when I was averaging 300 subscribers a day but then I took a small break. It then went down to the 100s and I'm still recovering from it.
