how do i upload a 1 hour vid to my yt channel, i able to upload vids of 15 mins atm

you need to have a decent number of videos already uploaded before you're allowed to upload videos longer than one hour

I would wait as Keebzy suggested but if you want to do it now you will have to chop it into segments, maybe stick some to be continued at the end of each one with a link to the next part or simply name with parts, its not very good but thats all you can do at present.

I thought you just had to verify your account or something? Or does that option come up after 15 vids?

Yeah I've got like 60 videos on my channel and have been uploading roughly 4 months, and I didn't get the option to do longer videos till like a month ago.

Not unless I had the option but wasn't notified. About a month ago a banner went across my screen telling me I could do it now, maybe I had the option before that and wasn't notified?

No you need the banner but once I monetized my first video it came.
