How do i maximize my reach for a new upload

I've Got It
Hey everyone!
I'm just a small youtuber with 3 videos to my name! I would have much more videos, but im still at uni and work takes priority ya know... But my videos are getting around 200 views and i only have 30ish subs.
I feel like this isnt the best start for my channel, as my videos literally take days to record, script, shoot and edit (as i do comedy game play reviews with live action scenes and voice over).
I would love to know how to get more exposure for my videos when they are first uploaded..
I guess the question is "How do i maximize my reach for a new upload?"
Thanks guys!

You gotta keep doing what you're doing. Make more videos like that with long descriptions, relevant but enough tags and social media promotion on Twitter and getting involved with communities on Reddit will surely help you. YouTube is a grind.

I am promoting my videos on relevant Facebook groups and Google+ communities. My channel is about educational videos for small children. So, I post my video on groups for parents, mums, dads, etc. Until now, I had positive feedback and some views from them.

Additionally, I post on my Facebook and Twitter with corresponding hashtags. I also sent a message to all my friends with small kids, but this was lots of effort.

This is the truth.

Then how fast or how slow you grow depends on a lot of factors.

Let me break it down to what I think is important for a channel to grow in descending order. Quality>frequency>quantity

Quality doesn't mean in HD. It means your content is watchable and shareable.

Frequency means how many videos can you produce? Yearly? Monthly? Weekly? Daily?

Quantity is quantity. The more videos you have there's always a chance for you to get a kick start from one.

So if you're lacking in any of the 3, there's always slower growth.

Then outside factors include promoting(sharing), proper seo and overall feel of the channel. This is probably the answer to your question.

To get a good reach for a new video, all you could do is try to promote your video and maximise SEO. Which are talked about everywhere on this forum.

Good luck with your channel ^^

Have you tried promoting your content to mommy blogs? There's tons of those that you can tap into

Great idea. I haven't done that yet. I'm not sure what kind of mommy blogs and forums are out there. I need to search them. The mommies in the Facebook groups were very kind and responsive.

I worked on a marketing campaign once for work and mommy blogs were super helpful I even managed to get one of the blogs to write a blog about the campaign (for free) :)

Great advice. It's really easy for someone who's new to understand what you're saying here. Props!
