How do I get more views on my youtube videos?

I have posted a few youtube videos now and i was just wondering how I can get more views on them. I a still kinda new to youtube so help would be greatly appreciated.
 
don't be lazy and read the forums, look at all the sub forums, there is a thousand good threads. check out some of the stickied threads at the top of each forum. then if you still need some help come to us with a specific question and stop being lazy

Man, I want you in my next meeting! Too much waffling around goes on in there, I need someone to lay it down straight.
 
Make good videos that get a high view duration. The key to getting views is getting your videos on the Home page and into the related and suggested video algorithms. Youtube algorithms do this based on the video metrics such as watch time and engagements.

if you can make a long video that gets a high audience retention and watch time then the video is considered "good."

What if you make shorter videos? Does the algorithm favor overall channel watch time as well?

I have plenty of threads on using social media, I just don't want to repeat myself over and over so I just give vague blunt answers most of the time when I hear the same thing over and over lol. So like you said, searching the forums is a good idea
