How do I change comments into Subscribers?

I don't really know if this thread fits here so please tell me if it doesn't.

At the moment I seem to be getting comments on my videos, which is great, but none of them come from my subscribers and most of them don't subscribe to my channel. Does anybody have any advice that they could lend me that would help get these people to subscribe.

P.S I've tried the obvious like responding to comments to make them feel noticed etc..
 
My advice: Ask Jesus. That dude turned water into wine, so I'm pretty sure he can help you here.

Failing that, try asking in your videos? Plugging it on FB and Twitter? Create a multi-part series and ask them to subscribe for the next part?
 
Well, what exactly do the comments say? If they're not really things like "Oh, you're so awesome, dude!" then it's possible they just don't want to.

Generally they are positive comments which is why I don't understand the reason behind them not subscribing
