How do I avoid a copyright strike?

I've Got It
So I've made a video about Panic At The Disco and the video is just clips of their songs. Even worried if Id get a copyright strike but I don't really understand the rules of it. I uploaded it and I couldn't earn revenue which is reasonable but It said people wont be able to hear the audio but my friend could hear it just fine. I'm confused and I know I can get a quick response here quick. I don't think I can share links so... The video is on my channel and it contains clips from all 11 songs from the album Death Of a Bachelor. Will it matter if i get a strike my size? It is confusing watching videos about strikes and I need someone to explain it in a simpler way. Thanks in advanced!

well to my understanding you can't use licensed stuff period...there is a line tho if you are parodying or reviewing or something like that..but even then its iffy. most people use about 10 to 30 seconds of a licenced song and even then they don't get away with it...i've had videos that i thought were in the clear but a year or so later i get a strike lol....so iits all a bit tricky if you can make the content without using any clips or songs i'd go that route if you really wanna monetize the videos. if you're not worried about monetizing then just continue doing what you do

Thanks! IS there a difference between copyright strikes and claims?

im sure someone else will be better at answering this..but a strike is a strike against your channel..a claim is the owner of the content claiming you are using their stuff...you could dispute it or let them know you're aware you are using the content..you might not get a strike against your channel but you won't be able to monetize the video...i think they will put on ads still but the original owner of the content will get a share of revenue instead of you.

As others said already, don't use any sound or images from anyone who didn't authorize you and you'll be good. If you do use it without someone's approval it's a risk you take, you can get away with it but it can also come back at you later. There's a ton of free stuff out there so try to use that first.
