How did getting a better camera help your channel?

Okay! Question for people who have upgraded their equipment, and made their camera quality good/relatively good/better!

How did this change effect your views, subscriptions and likes/dislikes?
Did you see a big improvement right away, or did it take a while.. Orr was there no improvement whatsoever?

and any other info you feel like sharing, or stories or something!

Well upgrading to a GoPro Hero 3 Black and getting a real editing Program (Cyberlink Powerdirector 11 Director's Suite) opened up a lot of new types of videos I could do and a lot of my GoPro dog videos do pretty well. The main thing with my GoPro is the angles I was able to get that I could not do with a normal camera. The video in my signature is one example (I made the rookie mistake of leaving black bars on the sides, but it still has over 40k views because of the unique angle). Then upgrading to the Hero 4 Black opened up even more things I could do like ultra slow motion in HD, low light videos, and night lapse videos. I have gotten quite a few views on my GoPro videos, but I also have some lower quality videos that are still doing well.

The main thing I considered when buying the best GoPro each time was what opportunities the new camera would open. I'm really into slow motion, so the Hero 4 Black instantly caught my eye with it's 240FPS 720p and 120FPS 1080p capabilities! It seems like my view and sub count sped up once I got these upgraded cameras each time.
 
i upgraded from a laptop webcam to a Logitech C920 and it's worked wonders for me. I love it more than I love food. The fact that I upgraded is great because now my pictures and stills aren't blurry as hell.
 
I had to get a new camera to get Facerig to work better for me. Funny thing is that Facerig really needs a 60fps webcam and they are pretty uncommon. Ended up getting a ps3 eye (yep that old thing) that runs at 60fps and cost me like 5 pound on Amazon lol.

Weird when the "upgrade" you need to get is cheaper than what you were using :P
 
Although I think the camera is important. as long as it shoots 1080p I think you are good to go. We do have a few good cameras That being said, I think audio and lighting are just as important. videos that are to dark or if the audio is quiet or echoey then it sounds unthought out. A good editing software is also key. if you can not sync audio and video it may look slapped together. It took us a few months to figure it out.

That is simply awesome! Great price for an upgraded cam. :)
