How detailed should a script be?

Hello!
In all of my videos so far, I've written full scripts that I just read out. The problem with that is it always seems to sound forced or monotonous; not really natural. I've been thinking of doing partially scripted videos, but I'm not sure how that would work out since it'll be for reviews and 'Top 5' videos. What do you guys think?

Depends on how creative you are. If you are very creative you shouldn't be using a script, if you are midly creative then you can use pin points, but at the same time some people have a talent of turning a script into something fluent...so it depends on you!

Ok, I'll have to try out different ways and see how creative I am, thanks for the advice

Other than creativity, it really depends on what you're comfortable with. Some people have to have EVERYTHING written down on a piece of paper, others can improvise all the way through if they have an idea, and others fall somewhere in the middle.
Also, I don't know if you've done this before but practice reading with a natural voice when you read anything. Such as my post lol. Try reading everything like you're presenting it to your subscribers.

I hope this helped, good luck bro.

That sounds like a good idea, never thought of it though so I'll try it out :) Thank you!

Defiantly me, the talent part. (Shifty Eyes) - Only joking, but I agree with everything you have said.

It also depends on how professional you want to sound. If the video is serious and you don't want to say "uh" and "um", write a script. For my Game of the Months, I always write a script so I know what I am talking about and it makes it sound like I know what I'm talking about. If it is a regular gameplay where you are just playing a video game, just do improv. If it is a review, write a script.

Yeah, that's sort of what I was thinking with the reviews as I really wouldn't want to be mess up what I say. Thanks for the advice.

Im just putting out there, I have never used a script in my youtube videos, and they tend to be fluent and factual....with a few added extras in places ;)
