How changing the channel name on the new layout ?

I think he means the part that you used to be able to change for example if you go to some channels their username is different from the little title they have across the top, it's difficult to explain now though as one channels rule youtube

Not quite sure what you mean, if you mean below the banner were it can say "Daily Vlog's!" or something. Go here:

They want you using your real name now, so it is linked to your GooglePlus account. Change your name to what you want on GooglePlus and then link the accounts.

I wouldn't even do that, because Google Plus can apparently tell if you are using a fake name or not... I de-linked my GooglePlus account from my YouTube because I couldn't choose my own URL otherwise, but my boyfriend runs a tumblr called "Jordan Immaculate" and when he tried to have a GooglePlus with that name it was deleted for being a fake. I am surprised that I still have a GooglePlus at all being Lori Loquacious hehe.
