how can you avoid being hacked?

Lightsen

Animation Yey!
so, in light of the recent ddoxing and hacking incidents, I would to know what we can do to protect our accounts etc. As much as possible. Hopefully there are good pointers we can use to possibly make a guide?
  1. do not have your house address or postcode anywhere online.
  2. do not use the same pass for email and YouTube etc.

Never use the password you use for email for anything else. Once a hacker gets that, they're able to get to so much more if you keep doing that.

Also, two-factor authentication is about as good as you can get, so utilize that as often as you can.

If you send me your Social Security Number, your date of birth, and your bank account information I can give you some tips...

There is no fool proof way to avoid being hacked but your best option is to make sure your password signal strength is strong. By using letters numbers and symbols, the longer the better for example "battlemode-32456" that will make it harder for it to be decoded. Also make sure you reset it every 90 days to something else. If you do that your likely hood of being hacked will go down. But that doesn't
save you from keyloggers, finding a good program to rid yourself of malware is a good idea like malwarebytes or advanced system care, something with an active guard on it.

Thank you so MUCH! I am now immortal and my life is happy again from furry squad.

I always have extremely long passwords I always have done that even when I was in school and had to type in a password.
My oldest one when I was fourteen was

Todaywillbeagreatdaypleasedon'truinit

or something I don't remember lol

and its not really about how long it is its how many different characters like upper case numbers #'s @'s !'s that makes it almost impossible to crack

@Lightsen The best way to prevent your google/youtube accounts from being hacked is to setup 2-step verification. I've done it for mine. Check out the video: "How to Secure your YouTube Channel with Setup 2-Step Verification" by Derral Eves.
