How can my group grow our channel easier?

My group has just started our first YouTube channel and has uploaded our first video a few days ago. Any advice for a new YouTuber trying to get their channel started?

Welcome and good luck with your channel. There's a ton of links out here to read, take your time to read into them and improve your thumbnails, channel design, upload frequency, making engaging content, SEO optimization, editing skills, etc.
Try to make every video better than the previous one and most of all, have patience. It's a marathon to become popular on YouTube, not a sprint. And oh, don't fall into the Sub4Subs trap :)

Good luck

Congratulations on your first video.
At this stage of the startup curve the focus is to get content out. It took us 50+ videos before any noticeable traffic and subs. Just keep plugging away and in time views and subs will start (assuming everythig else is done right as mentioned by Kids Corner above).
good luck
