How can I improve my commentaries?

Comedy! people love to laugh so try to throw in the odd joke, it is also important to not laugh at your own jokes, maybe you could also try to plan a video ahead and go through the commentary in advance so you have a lot of confidence in what you are saying, and make you seem happier and more energetic, to add to the energy to your commentaries you could have background music.

This was kind of just a jumble of information so good luck making sense of it but i hope it helps :)

I listened to Black Ops 2 - Live Commentary w/ facecam - Class Challenge!!!
My advice would be to sound a bit more upbeat in your commentary, maybe take a few less breaks from talking (fluidity is needed) and look a bit more animated in your face cam. When you actually were talking the commentary was good, no uhs or umms, actually flowed from sentence to sentence when you weren't taking breaks.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I should try and sound more upbeat in my commentaries!
 
I definitely have to agree on the sounding more upbeat. These guys pretty much covered it. Just try to add some personality!

To the don't laugh at your own jokes thing, that is often wrong. Who is the most subscribed channel on YouTube? PewDiePie. What is the format of a PewDiePie video?
1)Set up joke
2)Make Joke
3)Laugh At Joke To Make It Seem Funnier
4)Repeat

He laughs at every single joke he makes, so I would say laughing at them helps for some people.
 
tip: record more than just cod.

do something people don't see a s**t ton of, how are you supposed to differentiate yourself from others?
