How can a gaming channel get noticed???

Hey, my name is Hazzanamous. I have been doing youtube videos for a few months now and I just can't seem to get VIEWS! I have tried so many things including better productions on my videos as well as uploading on a constant schedule, but still, I only get an average of 40 views on the videos. I have no clue how to get out there so if anyone has a secret trick in getting more subs and views, I would very much love to hear them! Thanks! :D

Play current games and cross your fingers, (and toes, I broke them doing that once)
play older but still awesome games and repeat step one.

Have great quality content (I don't mean just some fancy mic I mean all the works) promote your work (without spamming)

These may sound basic but unfortunately these are the core things that might work. (there is no spell for success, I tried it once being a frog wasn't so fun)

And collaborate (if you play well with others)

Ask yourself, "Is someone already doing what I'm doing?". If yes, then ask yourself, "Why should people watch me, and not them?".

I would make good interesting titles that stand out.
Play impressive looking Indie Games because those seem to be popular.
Comment on tons of channels. (No Spamming unless the Video suggests spamming)
Ask for review of your channel. Like me, I would love some feedback on how I'm doing like every time I make a video.
Be nice
That is about all I got from all the places I looked. Oh and have a twitter cuz that's important!
Good Luck :pompus:

Gaming is a really competitive area and by just saying gaming, I don't really feel like watching your channel.

If I would describe my own channel (Which is gaming aswell), then I would say: "It's a gaming channel where I do Guild Wars 2 Community videos from my servers public events". If you look at how I state what my channel is about, then I give some incentive for people to actually know what it can bring you.

Make sure that you somehow in your branding, atleast give some info on what kind of videos you do. I do guides and community videos. And both those types of content have shown to be really beneficial for me and my channel growing.

My suggestions are as following:
1. Experiment and find a style, and a genre of videos that can help you grow while you enjoy doing it.
2. Find out what people can get from watching your videos and what you can offer them.
3. Be consistent in telling or showing people what your channel is about, this can be done in a lot of ways. (Annotations, telling in the ending, end screen in videos and more).
4. Profit?

This is not a guarantee to success, but it's a way that have proven beneficial for me and I think it can work for others aswell. And then, do remember, that in the beginning it can be a bit dull in getting more subscribers. Exponential growth will come over time :)

How would you promote your work? I always get stuck when people say these ahah. Because when they say that I think of just telling everyone to check out your channel and that is put into the spam category.

I have a gaming channel myself and it is(extremely) important you upload fast when a new game or AAA+ title comes out. Being the first and getting all those views, likes, subs ect is like winning the lottery xD
