Horror Game Channel

I wanted some advice. My brother is trying to convince me to join Twitch with him, and play horror games (which I absolutely LOVE) because I get REALLY into the games and scream and talk to/scold my character, give nonsensical advice to nobody about how to survive horror situations (apparently) and he thinks it would be hilarious. I was going to stay away from Let's Play channels because while I enjoy video games immensely, I'm not good by any means. I'm not HORRID, but there are definitely better ones out there. But, my brother thinks it's the most entertaining thing ever to watch me play my horror games.

Would people actually want to watch that?

Remember, you'll be one of the million Horror Let's Play channels.
If you think you can offer something different, go for it.
Personally, I wouldn't watch it because I don't like to watch horror games.
Mainly because most of the let's players playing these games are overreacting, screaming and other stuff I don't like ( I like more mature and chilled kind of commentary ).
But there is a market for that kind of content.

That's kind of what I was thinking too. I don't watch gaming channels really, so I really know nothing about that particular niche.

I would watch it. I especially like female gamers giving their unique reactions and shouting and screaming :p
Give me the twitch link!

I'm still playing with the idea, IDK if it will be a thing yet or not - there ARE some really awesome horror games coming out. But my twitch account is somethingwyqued since I follow a couple people, and you're welcome to follow that until I decide :)

You wouldn't be one in a million lets players as someone said above... Its unfortunate to say that this is a reason why people will subscribe to you, but since your a girl, you'll be one of the very few who do horror lets plays as a female (which tons would watch.... For example if I was a girl prankster, I would get 100k subs probably in 2 months... It would be so easy with my ideas if I was a girl).

If you edit the videos in a way where it's only the funniest parts sort of like seananners does his prop hunt videos. I wouldn't doubt you could get to 100k subs in a year if not earlier. This is not a joke, i'm 100% serious.

Hmm. I'll have to check out seananners. Any others you think I should take a look at? I don't really watch Let's Play channels (because I don't like the spoilers), LOL

Let's plays are not really a good type of video for growth. At the moment, my best series is one where I use heavy editing for reviews. The let's plays that I do do are just filler. My best series would get at least 3,000 views, but my let's plays maybe get 300 views.

I would try to go for the path where you do a lot of editing to make it a compact, action pack and funny video. I would do more of it, but I have other priorities :S.. Perhaps some compilation video after done with a let's play of a game. That is a good idea too.

The better way is to try and see for yourself, if you manage to be funny for 1 or 2h you win. Nothing to do with being a girl and there is not a billion of let's player, there is a lot of copy cat, but only a few entertainer. Wich one will you be ? ;)
