Horrible September

I've posted about this already, but it has gotten even worse. My daily view average for August was about 675 views. Ever since September started, I have been pretty much on a free-fall for daily views. I had one day that was my all time high (slightly over 1,000), but 3 days later, I had the lowest views I have had in a day since June (400 even). I seriously have no idea what I'm doing differently to make this change. I have been on the same upload schedule for the whole month of August, and I am just now starting to see a drop in daily views. My daily view average for September is still about 660 views per day thanks to my all time high in views, but I don't know how long that is going to be the case. Can anyone try to explain what is going on?

Was one of your videos doing very well, keeping your total up higher? It's like some of my videos just get constant views every day. And if they just stopped getting views, i'd lose a significant amount of views per month.

I have a video that averages about 200 views per day, and I think it had 150 the past few days. It doesn't seem like it would effect it that much though.

The school year just start up. Perhaps a significant portion of your viewers don't have time, or are unable to view your videos due to parents restricting computer access? You are a gamer, so there would obviously be many children/teens who view your channel. They are likely busy with homework and school.

Let's see what happens after by Easter break. I doubt the views will recover during christmas though; many people will be too busy with new toys and family to watch. Easter is less of a holiday however, so the school break there may boost your views.

Continue checking your analytics, and pay attention to weekends vs weekdays.

There has definitely been a spike for the past few weekends. That is when I got my all time high. I also don't consider myself a gamer. My main content are top 5 and theory videos, and it's all about Pokemon. Anyway, I will make sure to watch for more patterns. Thanks

Oops sorry, I just looked at the "Channel type" under your name and saw the pokemon thumbnail on the video in your signature so I assumed it was gaming.

Yeah the spike during weekends are likely people who have time as opposed to weekdays.

Yeah. To be honest, I don't think school takes up that much time, but I get school stuff really easily. That's a topic for another time though. It's kinda annoying about my channel type because it's probably categorized as gaming, but Let's Play is not my main thing. I don't like that many channels who are strictly Let's Play so I don't want to be categorized in the same group as them.

Right I understand that. I left gaming a while back. I just didn't enjoy letsplays. I prefer the educational route. Preferably one about my interests.
I'll give your channel and look see and try to help with those view counts :)

Definitely the school year starting.
My views dropped big time too. (maybe not so bad, but still noticeable)

Yes, my views this month dropped by 300. I was surprised when I first saw it. Then I realized that half of my viewers are probably too busy keeping up with school work to watch.
