Horrible file sizes please help.

So I have a problem, I record all of my gameplay on my computer and I use Dxtrory to do so, I understand that the raw footage is always really big, but after I edit and process the video for uploading it to YouTube the file is 5GB for a 720p, 30 FPS, 24 minute long video, how can I make it smaller and what codec do you recommend for maximum quality and small sizes? Also please post you final video sizes, the quality, FPS and the length for comparison. Thank you! All help is appreciated!

Do you record with a camera, or do you record screens? Should I change the file type when compressing after editing the video? Thanks!

Hmm and just use a file converter or you could try just saving it in a different format. I am not sure what would be the best format though, sorry.

I record with a DSLR. Yes, you should. See what that does for you =)
