The way I'd go about it is good content, good audio, good thumbnails, consistent uploads, always bettering yourself and improving everything as you go along. It may take awhile months maybe even years to get a really good following and there's no "HOW TO GET FAMOUS QUICK" scheme on YouTube just doesn't work that way. All about honing your content and putting out videos, picking up 1-2 subscribers at a time and hoping to just be noticed more. Learn SEO as well that helps.
