So recently i'm looking for a high quality microphone for commentating. I found the blue yeti, blue snowball, and blue snowball ice. The yeti is a really professional mic but it's little bit expensive. The snowball is a high quality microphone great for commentating and for other use, Good price. The snowball ice is a good quality nice looking not expensive microphone. Which one do you think is better to buy?

To be honest i use the blue snowball because it is just my all time favourite. I use it for commentrys, podcasts and when i play with my band. the blue yeti is about the same just different shape and higher price.

Snowball - I purchased mine for £60, and I think that's only £10 more than the Ice, it's worth investing a small percentage more when you consider the increase in quality.

Most people suggest the snowball as a great price for quality piece of equipment.

even though I personally use a yeti and love it, i'd say get the snowball! it is very well priced and I've heard it is VERY good quality!

Thanks for all the respond![DOUBLEPOST=1356739749,1356736320][/DOUBLEPOST]So which one should i get?

If you are only going to use it for commentating and audio for videos, I'd say the snowball. Its good for unidirectional purposes as opposed to the Yeti, which is built for more. Yetis are built for studio use as well as recreational so naturally it has more omni-directional uses that can be used such as recording instruments or mic'ing an entire room.

But back to the blunt point, if you're using it for only commentating, I'd suggest the snowball. Saves you a few bucks as well as keeping good quality.

What I've been using for years, to do anything speech-related - podcasts, gameplay commentary, voice over, and more, is the Shure PG-42. If you don't have an interface with phantom power, there's a USB version of it too. It's a really REALLY good sounding and quite cheap microphone.
