For some reason the pictures look lower quality :( for the full resolution examples go to the google drive form ;)

I don't see why it's an insult to the designing community, when you start off you work for cheap to build up a portfolio..
I don't see you have much knowledge about the market.
When you start to work off, say you start to make clothes.
So just to gain experience, you wouldn't sell your clothes for $0.50 would you?

It's an insult because designers work so hard like 3-4 hours and even days. And selling those graphics for $0.50?
Better do it for free!

It's an insult as to how designers are just lowballing themselves just go get more work.
Imagine, this guy takes your logo and puts it on the website, he puts it on letterheads, and business cards, and embroidered t-shirts for his crew, he or she takes the logo and uses it on a banner to hang in front of the store, then they take the logo and get it turned into a storefront neon sign, oh, then they take the logo 3 years from now and run a second batch of shirts, they also took the logo and allowed other big companies to use it to advertise them, oh s**t, they got a TV commercial and used their logo. You get the picture. The point here is that you blindly gave a price without ever knowing about the project. So you just gave a guy an asset that they will use in multiple mediums, etc etc. all for the soul crushingly low price of $1. You just screwed yourself.

Charge more. This is not McDonalds. Graphic design is not a $10 an hour job, it isn't a $25 an hour job. It's higher. Of course you should be fair in your pricing, and most importantly, be honest with your skills and ability. Don't be delusional in the opposite end of the spectrum.

Charging less and wayyy less is disrespecting yourself, your work and your skill.
And of course, downing the market for every other designer.

I know, I am no one to talk about your pricing and you might just say "f**k you", but it affects me in almost very way (not talking about affecting on YYTalk or any other community), because it's just not you, there are wayyy more designers lowballing themselves and downing the market for other designers like myself.

Think about it.

Think about it.
I do have a decent insight into the industry actually, close family members are professional graphic designers as well as typography/etc designers. Many will work for pennies compared to their normal rate to build up work and to give favours to people.
I do see your point, 1 dollar is really nothing and most graphic design work is worth more, but what does it really hurt? I went to a market once to try and give away some kittens, in front of us was a stand that offered to SELL identical kittens, they sold all the kittens within an hour and we spent 3 trying to give 2 away. People think that something is better if they pay a little bit of money for it.
I can also see why someone will obviously go for someone cheaper over a more expensive and more professional designer, but hey people are penny pinchers.

Ultimately, it's not as bad as you make it seem!

I'll just say : You won't know how bad it is unless you cannot feed yourself because others are trying to lowball themselves to feed their's.
I respect my work, my skill and I won't ever do such a thing.
