There is a free video software I use called AVS. There's lots of cool effects and you can do picture overlays and stuff. The chromakey sucks though. Can't really find use of it. The only thing about it being free is that you have to edit out the first 1:00 and another minute if the ideo surpasses 4:00 in an outside editing source. I'd suggest it if you feel like dealing with that. It's FREE anyway.

In the free version, a logo is placed on your video for the first minute and for another minute at 4:00. So you have to place a random pic in front of your vid and at the 4-5 min mark. Then edit out this extra footage so the logo doesn't show on your video.

Yeah sites like that are always adventerous lol Good luck, Sony Vegas is good but takes time getting use to. Search for it, not all is viruses.
