This happened to me and it turned out to be my girlfriend shouting at me to get off the damn computer.
No seriously, it's feedback. Try and move your mic away from all electrical equipment, particularly speakers and anything with magnets in it. Also double-check the wires going in an out of the mic have a good clean contact
