Hi, I'm Lyzzie

Might I recommend some if you have Steam? I would recommend Quake, Quake 2, Doom, Doom 2, Final Doom and the original Half-Life. All of them are pretty cheap (esp Final Doom, Doom & Doom 2 are all $4.99 each) and the good thing is for all the communities mentioned have a pretty healthy community, especially Doom's as there are tens of thousands of user made levels, hundreds of mods of all sizes and dozens of source ports to play them under Windows. :)

If you're gonna buy Doom, purchase them separately and not Doom Classic complete or Doom 3 BFG Edition. Last I remembered the core files were altered to edit the crosses off the health packs because of Red Cross trademark whining and total removal of any Nazi related content in Doom 2's secret levels, including the SS guards that make the levels unique. :(

I personally use GZDoom for my Doom festivities and Darkplaces for the original Quake.

I've got Quake 3 and Q3A. I've got Half Life, but it scares me too much. I'm a p***y when it comes to some things.
I have an over active imagination, and while it's good for my writing course, it hinders me in a lot of games haha

Also. I'm a poor, poor student, so while $4.99 may be cheap (I'm English btw), it's almost a whole meal / car journey for me :P

If you want to know the meaning of fear, I would suggest Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Half-Life isn't at all scary, it's a fun storyish shooter to me :)

I scare easily, plus with anxiety on top of that, it's not a good combination.
I had a nightmare after watching Final Destination 4 - and though I didn't find it scary at the time, my brain obviously reacted negatively to it haha.
It's happened with Half Life too, which is why I stay away from games that have elements in that I know my brain won't like.
I wish I knew what was going on up there lol

I am guessing it's an overactive imagination then, it doesn't occur to me even tho I am LPing Amnesia at night with my headset and closed door :D

I know how Lyzzie feels. I feel the same with horror games but I still play em.

I must be the only one here with less then 30 subs xD
