Hi, I'm a Full Time Graphic Designer. I'd like to review 5 channels.

Hello all my YouTuber warriors, chiefs, gamers, personalities, vloggers, bandits, and jokers.

If you check out my channel you'll see that I have less than 100 subs, so you might be thinking.

"Who does this guy think he is? Offering all this advice and he's just a newb"

Well, yes I am a YouTube newb, but IRL I'm a full time web designer and freelance motion graphics designer so I know a thing or two about colors, shapes, and video lol. The end goal for me is to do YouTube full time but I need about 999,930 more subscribers to do that :)

Since YTTalk has been such a great resource to me, I'd like to give back. So I would like to do 5 in depth channel reviews, going over stuff like banners, audio, channel design, and anything else I notice.

If this gets a good response then I'll do another 5 channels. I want to be thorough, so that's why I'm capping it at 5 reviews for now. There's no point in asking for 100 requests when I know damn well I can't get through all of them lol.

So the first 5 requests get the worm! Go!

I'd love some feedback! And you don't have to sugar coat anything for me; I can take criticism

I would love to get some feed back please watch my ' How to make a chocolate cake'? and 'Hot to pack fluffy toys'? Thx in advance ;)

I would really like some feed back, especially from someone with a good eye.

Thanks.

Rocket! Whatsup man, I watched The Forest part 8 and I'll start out with the good stuff and then the bad stuff, then the horrible stuff, then the stuff thats unforgivable, and then....JK

The Good:
-I really enjoyed the banter between you and the other guy. I think you play off of each other well.
-You're funny, and I mean that specifically as you have a good sense of humor and you know what is funny versus being funny out of luckiness. This is good because you can be more consistently entertaining versus being always hit or miss.
-Your banner is great, nice and vibrant, your profile picture has a matching background and you've thrown in your social link. Nice touch.

The Bad (my opinion, I'm just some dude with a keyboard)
-The video I watched was about 16 minutes long, it could've easily been 8 minutes long. There was a lot of dry areas and the pacing was too slow. There were some really funny parts like with the raccoons, but in general I think if you edited it down more, you'd have higher retention rates which lead to more subs.
-The thumbnails aren't anything special, now let me clarify, they aren't bad thumbnails, they just aren't awesome thumbnails. You're a personality, people can go watch other people play through the Forest but they view yours because of YOU. So maybe try experimenting with different thumbnail styles that are more unique to you or even try including your face in the thumbnails and see if your views change at all.

Overall though, you've got a great channel and design-wise you're miles away from most people so awesome job on that! Looking forward to more of your vids, and more the Forest lol!

Thanks for the feedback! About the editing part, I've actually been working like crazy editing down all my single player series, but for multiplayer I tend not to edit as much seeing as most of the time there is constant commentary (with some exceptions). As for the thumbnails, it's more of a personal preference, I'd rather see awesome artwork than some guys face, but I know that isn't always the case haha. I just like to let people see some cool art from my small community through showcasing them in my thumbnails :) Again, thank you! I'm going to be working hard with editing and change up my thumbnails once in a while!
