Hey Y'all Doing Some Channel Reviews

I'm a professional video editor - So i'll be doing them on more of a video editing side of things. I'll get you back to you when I can.

Bit of background:

I work for a channel with 97,000 subscribers, I had some insight so I thought I'd start up my own personal channel with a show called Go Chef Yourself and see how I get along.

Check me out too if you've got the time.

I'd love some advice on video editing. We have just basic knowledge of editing but i think we make it work alright.

Would love if you could take a look at my latest video called LEGO Tank Warfare.

PS, had a good laugh watching your vids.

I'd love to get advice on video editing as well if you get the chance! I only have iMovie to work with but I do the best I can. The opinion of a professional would be super helpful.

Also, your channel name is super cute! Will definitely check it out when I'm not at work :)

Hey Sorry for the Delay. From watching your videos they are already ready at a good level of editing. I noticed you like to pull humour out of funny things that you say. The zoom and repeat works quite well.

If you have a high quality camera you could zoom in a little so that each of you guys are framed. So there would be a two mid shots. one shot on each of you guys and then the wide shot. With more shots to cut to it would break up the edit and keep it more visually entertaining. You could then keep each episode at a good constant pace.

Loving the videos guys, well done!

I could always use some help on editing myself! I feel like I've got kinda a hand on it but it's a work in progress

This is really great! Hmm if I were to change it up editing/style wise I'd keep doing what you're doing with all the information you're giving but maybe crop in on your self so that you are framed properly. A tighter shot while filming would solve this (Remember the rule of thirds!). I'm not sure if you've even seen the youtuber Bill wurtz. This is his video on the history of Japan -

He keeps the energy really high with sound effects and tiny animations which really help convey information. If you have any experience in After Effects you could have the pop up's be more engaging, bill wurtz have a very definite style but with some practice you could develop into a really engaging youtuber. Not that you're not already! :)

I'd chose some different music too for the background, instantly it feels like stock music.

On a side note, a different background would be nice. The room with curtains is a little dull - You wouldn't happen to have a green screen lying around?? ha

Hope this helps, keep up the good work!
