Help with earnings report... doesn't seem accurate

Yeah i don't really remember but i know i was watching something way different,when your video showed up lol. Its hard to get people to comment on your vide, because a lot of the people that watch youtube videos or casually on there and have no accounts.
 
You can check in youtube analitics where all your views came from :-)
It can tell you which websites linked to you and how much views you got from them.

Yeah, it's been a little nuts! I actually did look at that part of analytics after the one guy said he saw it on aol and I don't see aol anywhere on there. For the most part they're just coming from youtube itself, it looks like. 43% is coming from "unknown - direct" so who knows what that is and 39% is coming from "YouTube Suggested Video." So I guess mainly people watching similar videos, it suggests they watch this video. On another youtube account I have, I have tons more swimming videos and the most I have on the most popular video is "only" 380,000 views. No clue why this other one got picked up and took off like it has. I'm up to 32,000 views just today already. Wish I knew the secret and I'd make 100 more videos just like them! It's all rather flukey what goes viral. But I'm enjoying it!

Hmm for it to go viral like that, it's not via search.

What about when you click on analytics -->playback locations ---->embedded players on other sites ?

For playback locations 2.4 mill (69%) views came from YouTube Watch Page, then when I click on "embedded players on other sites" 12,000ish views came from yandex.ru (Russian youtube, maybe?) Then there's probably 20 sites that have views on them, but small in comparison to even the 12,000.
