The audio in the 4 is okay, but only if you remove the waterproof housing and using the skeleton housing.You can crop the frame, but you lose resolution when you do that. GoPro 4 shoots 4K though, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue lol
edit: Also, the mic SUCKS on the GoPro (I have a 3, maybe it's better on the 4?) so it's not exactly ideal as a long-term vlogging solution IMO... I think you can buy external mic attachments but I haven't looked into that at all.
