I just did the same thing using

2560 x 1440 Dimensions, but still doesnt work, i recently did my channel, maybe i need to wait for it to kick in ? XD​

Well the thing I do is I jsut press "Edit channel art" then i find the option to crop and press on it after that i jsut press crop and okay and it works
