HELP My Lighting is Horrible!

When you play back the file without putting it into your editing software does it look as it should or is this once it is in editing software?

It's not great but it's not as bad as when I import it into my computer. But it's a small screen so that could be deceiving.

Could it be my camcorder setting?
 
I would check over all your settings, I am unsure exactly what the issue is that you are seeing, how does this footage compare to how it is without the lights? Is it the colour/white balance looking off? Shadows looking different to you than normal? What are the main differences you are seeing? :)
