Help Me Choose A Network!

So I have a small gaming channel with only about 30 vids and as my channel is starting to grow, I want to figure out which network would be best to join when I'm ready. I was contacted by Viso for partnership but didn't take it as of yet. What I'm looking for in partnering for the first time is not the best pay, but the best dashboard features/support and to get my channel out there for people to see. Of course money is great too, but I'm mainly just looking for a partner which will help support me, help grow the channel, and maybe even provide tools to improve my videos. Some networks I have been considering are Viso, TGN, Fullscreen, and Curse. I hope some of you can tell me your thoughts, and maybe some of your own experiences with networks. Also about Fullscreen's 2 year contract, that's a turn off, but I heard its easy to leave early if you just give them notice? Is it like that with most networks?

I'd say go with

I wouldn't bother partnering as a channel of your size. I would wait until you meet the requirements to join a network such as Curse. :)

Don't partner just yet, wait till you channel is a bit bigger then go searching for networks.

Fulscreen, TGN and Viso have bad CPM's. TGN and Viso are under BBTV (BroadBandTV), and Fullscreen is it's own MCN. (yttalk.com/threads/broadbandtv-really-really-really-lame-cpms-bbtv-and-subsidiaries.66041/)

Curse is your best option. If you can't get into Curse, try Zoomin.TV or Creative Nation. They are probably the best networks you could partner at the moment.

A common misconception seems to be that network will help you grow - from what I've seen so far, that's not the case. Surely, some of them may Tweet about your channel and what not, but in general, you should not join a network if you're looking for growth. Use social medias such as Facebook, Twitter and most importantly reddit.com IMO. Grow your fan base, continue to upload videos on daily/weekly basis at roughly the same time and if you are pulling just a few hundred views, don't monetize your content. It may turn potential viewers/subscribers away if some annoying commercial shows up just as video loaded - you don't need a few cents and you do need viewers/subscribers.

Next, once you start pulling a decent number of viewers, let's say 8k month (or 1k subs/4k viewers), go ahead and sign up for Curse if you are creating your own content - they have a great deal 90-10 share and no-lock in (technically, you sign up a contract on 12 months, but you are free to go whenever you request to leave). They have a great community and Skype chat group and I'm pretty sure they could actually help you improve your videos, branding and ads shown on your videos will be gaming related which is excellent.

So yeah, bottom line - don't partner just to partner. Make sure you don't get sucked into any long term deal such as 1+ year and don't get delusional with revenue shares - some networks may share 70%+ with you, but if their CPM is horrible, you'll do better on your own. From what I've read so far, Curse, ZoominTV, Creative Nation & Omniamedia are the networks to partner with at the moment - all of those have some advantages but also certain flaws, but they seem to be far more praised and recommended than any other network out there.

Good luck with your channel and hope you don't get sucked into some silly deal for 2 years or something!

P.S. You said "small channel with only 30 videos" - keep in mind that in most cases, this seems to be the way to go: quality over quantity. It doesn't matter how many videos you have, as long as they are good and interesting for viewers you are targeting.
