Help Me Buy a Badass Computer

So I got into making videos and am now realizing if I want to do certain things with my YT channel I'm going to need a MUCH better computer. For example, my video card isn't even good enough to work with Open Broadcaster...here are my current, pathetic specs.

Processor - Intel Core i3 3.2GHz
RAM - 4 GB
Video - Intel(R) HD Graphics

I've got some money to spend on a way better system. I would like something strong enough to handle streaming multiple videos (screenshare/webcam/gaming/overlays ect) to multiple sources(mainly twitch and youtube).

Right now I'm trying to figure out what exactly to get. For a preocessor I'm thinking an Intel i7, 16GB of RAM if that will be enough. As for a graphics card I'm thinking a GEFORCE GTX 980(possibly ti version if needed).

Also the software I will be needing. Open Broadcaster is free and many of it's plugins are as well. I would want a good screencapture program and screenflow seems to be the choice at the moment. I would love something that captures system sound as a microphone like the capability in manycam.

Thanks in advance for any feedback/suggestions.

Which i7? Should be fine though. Check out for a pretty decent price guide logicalincrements.com

5960X, so one of the best! The Xeon line looks great, just seems to more money than I'm looking to spend at the moment. I am checking the guide you linked right now!

beilive me mine is wrost than yours xD but anyway, i love alienware, but if you have low budget you can check lenovo's laptop, if you want a good desktop computer, you really need to search for a good one, or create your own.

may be you need check pcpartpicker (dot) com/builds (for completed build pc system & budget u needed)

Great idea going with Intel processors! I personally use an AMD processor (FX 9590), but I have a liquid cooling loop to cool that puppy because it gets HOT. GTX 980 is also a great card!

As for your streaming program, I use XSplit Broadcaster, and I absolutely love it.
