Help for a newbie from you amazing experts!

Hi Guys!
So I just started a new channel on YouTube and i'm asking for advice . Not sure how to get people interested in my channel beyond the regular FB friends and such. I'm new so I know I shouldn't expect much but I want so badly to be successful at this ! What are your main tips for a great YouTube channel?

I appreciate any feedback and advice and can't wait to put the ideas to the test!

The most important thing is that you should enjoy what you're doing. People who share the same interests as you will eventually get interested in your channel. Don't be disheartened if you don't see any results for a month or two. It takes time for a YouTube channel to grow.

I was so discouraged in the past but i really had to learn and optimize my content for the best make sure to always choose quality or quantity anyday. You will get better just have to work hard like me when i mean i would not sleep some days just working on my channel it was crazy and i am learning more and more how to be a powerful youtube content creator. Just keep posting stuff... Set a schedule and stick to it. Put one step in front of the other and if your content is good people will come to you most of the time.

Sometimes though you WILL put up a video you think is awesome and no one will watch it. (Happening to my latest video) Other times you will put up something okay and people will go crazy for it.

That's a great tip! I spend more time on some of my thumbnails than the video editing itself! (Not literally, but you get what I mean...!)[DOUBLEPOST=1367893270][/DOUBLEPOST]

Be sure to create your video tags wisely..

The best way to get attention is through content. What I mean by this is, your video is so good that a person would feel the absolute need to share it with some one. (Julian smith videos for instance... with me any ways ha ha)

So if you don't mind me giving you some constructive criticism ill give you some. (it's not hate )

First off you only have 1 video, so I have no idea what your channel is about right from the get go. (but you are new so that can be fixed with more videos, no big deal)

Another thing I saw that kind of bugged me was your face was off to the side the whole time. Not sure if that is just me but it did bug me a tiny bit ha ha. maybe do the overused jump cut or just kind of move around the cameras angle while you talk or just center yourself.

Basically your first goal is to make sure your video's show off what your channel is about. that's my first impression any ways.

Thanks for the encouragement I really needed it. It sucks when your'e like wow I love this I can't wait to share it and then......(insert crickets).........lmao! I've got a ways to go and 1 or 2 videos is nowhere near enough to start making judgement calls. Let's see what happens when i've got a strong list and some filler content of everyday vids. The personality is there and someone that I could like. You just looked a bit um nervouse or maybe you were holding back a little? When ever I did my vlogs (I don't any more for a reason ha ha) I would act totally different the second I hit record and I didn't know why ha ha. It was so different from what I wanted it looked like I was trying to hard and so it wasn't very good.
For the video itself I couldn't tell what you were talking about, because I am not with the times. What you could do is post some sort of article or explain something like "msn bc said that this person did that! and what I think of the matter is *put your personality here*" and then I would be like woah wtf? I didn't know that! then go look it up and also like your video at the same time ha ha. But this is your first video so really this will come with time . It's going to take you lots of videos to get it right. All you have to do is keep at it, have a humbling attitude (listen to people when they give real criticism and not hate), and make the changes that need to be made (if the advice was good, like from me for example, I am a little channel so you are wondering... why listen to this guy? Well most of the advice I am giving you comes from a channel who is actually very large in comparison lol. Like times my by 1k and it still isn't going to make it)

So ya you got the stuff there, you just have to start making more videos and find yourself when the camera starts recording. So nothing to crazy.
