HELP! COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!

Hi guys! I'm here again to ask your help! For example I made my child's intro but I put a clip of her favorite song there like roar by katy perry, may I be subjected to copyright infringement? Although I see some videos of other guys that also use some popular singers in their videos.
I hope you can help me just starting my daughter's channel. And I want it to be polished before it starts. Like no copyright infringement so that her channel can remain a good standing.

Easiest way to check is to look up the song in the YT audio library and see the policy. At the very least it'll be Content ID'd and ineligible for monetization.

You generally need permission to use other people's content. Considering your argument that other people also use it ... well you also see people driving too fast.

Yes you can and most probably you will get a copy right strike with Perry's song.

It doesn't matter if you monetize it - it is still a copyright infringement. Never upload copyrighted stuff. The video may be taken down - eventually the channel too.

Thanks for this. I put it in word to check it out once in a while. Someone also told me that if it is less than 10 seconds the you won't have any copyright infringement but if it's more you will have..
