Help - Connecting my Samsung S9 to my Samson Q2U mic

Hi all,

I'm am creating my first channel and would like to connect my S9 to my Samson Q2U mic.

Has anyone done this and did you need an additional cable?

I heard that it can be difficult with the Samsung S9.

Advice will be appreciated as I would like to record my first video this weekend.

you may need an adapter, I tried connecting a mic I use for camera to galaxy s10 = doesn't work, the connector seems different to that of the included cellphone headphones
 
Do you know the name of the adaptor that you use? I googled and it says micro to mini OTG but am not sure if correct.

don't have an adapter, I just tried inserting the mic plug into the phone as it is the same size, but obviously it didn't work :confusedphones: so just using the cellphone built-in mic for voice-overs, unless recording with mirrorless camera which obviously has the standard mic input
