So I have a little problem with the way my Gameplay looks after I record it on my HD PvR2
I set the bitrate to VBR
Min:5.ooMbps to it's Max(for some reason it skips more if I raise the min over 5.00Mbps)
in a couple of my videos it kind of skips in one of to part of the video.
Also when I get to the rendering part, I set my Video Encoder Type to: 1 pass VBR Constant Quality. Should I set that to 2 pass VBR Constrained or Unconstrained?
any help would be appreciated

VBR- cause it makes youre video size smaller. (nothing to do with quality)

but i have one question too.

i use the avermedia darkscrystal HD Capture station.
and i also used the hd pvr2, but it wasnt as good as my avermedia. i got an delay with 5-7 seconds (with showbiz recording and also with fraps) and i have a new 1000€ gaming pc
do you have a delay, too?

Yes I have about a 3-5 seconds delay with my recording

Everyone who uses any HDPVR by hauppauge will get a 4 second delay (it might be longer if your pc is not as powerful) but you always get it. There is no way to remove it or lower it.

About the settings. I took printscreens of all the settings, if you stick to this the quality will come out the best that the HDPVR2 can give. (The file size for me is around 600mb per 10 minutes)

Ignore the input resolution my TV wasn't turned on when I took these.

how did you solve the problem? i found it annoying!
at my avermedia i have 0-1sek delay, just a view times you noticed it, but its not troublesome.

I said you can't solve it.. it's just how the HDPVR by hauppauge works.. it always have the 4+ second delay.

I already knew about the 4+ seconds delays. I just needed to know what I was doing wrong as far as the setting cause if see in some parts of my videos, you'll see some parts are grainy/pixelated

and I mean how did you make youre videos, that you dont have this delay? or did you swing youre sword and 4 seconds later you hear it?
I open my xbox dashboard thing and say 'down, up, down, up, down, up' and also do this motion with the arrows so in editing I can sync up the words to the visual then just cut that part out :)
