Having multiple approaches on one channel

I've Got It
I was wondering how one might go about gaining followers on a channel that has multiple genres on it. For instance, my channel is a sketch comedy channel, but we also do a let's play (Yes I know, everyone has a let's play these days). We figured that if people enjoyed the let's play, they'd also enjoy the sketch comedy and by far the most popular genre on youtube is let's play.

Any thoughts on which audience we should focus on first?
 
What game are we talkin' about? You can actually try interacting with others on bigger YouTubers' videos so others can find you easily!
 
The games we are focusing on are older Arcade coin-op style games where we each only put in a dollar and see how far we can get. Calling it, "Mom Can I Have Another Dollar". I suppose I can try to become active on other larger let's play channels. Hadn't considered that. Just to clarify, you aren't suggesting going there to beg for views or anything, are you?
 
Hahaha NEVER beg for views, what I meant is, chat with those in the comments, answer their questions, share thoughts and through time you'll get exposure!
