Having doubts about channel content.

The thing with Bloodborn is that I think everyone and their grandmother are lping it, so watching a let's play from an unknown channel may not seem very appealing. Now your video on your love for the rifle spear was perfect for the type of Bloodborn content that people would be more willing to watch from a fairly smaller youtuber. Just a 5 minute or under video addressing a specific part of Bloodborn that you love and find interesting.

Since Bloodborn is a fairly popular rpg you will be more attractive to that fanbase viewing-wise if you bring stuff to the table that your competitors don't. Be it lore, cool glitches or cheats, walk-throughs for bosses, or your opinion on certain aspects of the game (aka rifle spear). I'm not saying to stop lp's for rpgs at all, but if I were to find your channel and take a look at it, it would usually be because of an entry type video like the rifle spear. Gotta get them hooked on the content, then you will have them asking you to play it for them!

The iRacing I think is also doing well because it targets a niche that doesn't usually get catered to by too many other people. The market on these type of games may be under-saturated in fact, because you are doing fairly well in my opinion view wise. I won't say you have to keep making more but it is an interesting note. I have the same thing happening on my channel where my lp of perfect dark has sucky views compared to most of my videos. My sonic videos suck and are attracting no-one and the Dead Rising 3 campaign is just a disaster that I'm considering moving on from. But the review videos I started doing for fun are getting much more feedback then anything else I do.

Problem is, I'm a complete newbie to bloodborne do don't havent got a lot to add there yet...I'm too late to the game it seems.

Most of the plans I have so far are let's plays though, but I guess most of the RPGS I like have been done to death :/

Hmm maybe make highlight videos of your rpg let's plays? The moments you felt were funny, awesome, scary or whatnot. That way you can still do all the Bloodborn you want while getting some views as well. I like to imagine that people treat "best of" as footnotes so to speak. If the content if very long, they can get a quick synopsis and decide if what you do is what they like. It's a lot of work, but my best of series is doing by far the best :p on my channel.

Not really the type of videos I enjoy making or watching...but guess I don't have much of a choice if I want to grow.

Had some plans to do a let's plays of Baldurs gate 1+2 but theyre even way older than bloodborne.

Sorry :( not trying to get you down or anything. Do what you want! If you don't like the videos your making then don't do them, if you love them then keep doing it! I would also like to point out that when it comes to youtubing...

I just try to swim in the general direction of what I think is the rightish kinda direction~

So you have a choice, to complete the series and be done ti RPGs or drop it completely.

And going off topic here, since I noticed a å in your writing, makes me wonder if you scandinavian?

Your following WILL grow if you keep on uploading what you enjoy playing. Please don't start uploading videos just because you think they will gain more views, it will take away the enjoyment for you. If you want some advice then all I can say is keep going, make sure you promote yourself fairly and don't give up. If you give up you definitely won't get more views :p chin up :)

Thanks for all the replies.

So I've decided that once I'm done with my Bloodborne playthrough, I'll try a playthrough of a very different type of RPG and if that doesn't turn out to attract much attention, I'll shift over to doing pure Simulation videos.
Hopefully at that time I'll be able to make enough sim videos to fill out the channel more...but we'll see...I'll consider it sort of an experiment ^^
