Having doubts about channel content.

Turtle Power!
Sadly starting to get disheartened as it seems that most of the content on my channel aren't attracting a lot of views.

Currently I'm doing Simulator and RPG videos on my channel as those are the types of games I play, but my RPG videos (currently playing Bloodborne) only get around 4-10 views now while my Racing videos easily get 30-40.
I'm starting to consider just dropping the RPG videos as people don't seem to be interested in them...but I know the completionist in me would hate not finishing the series.

Another åroblem is, that if I do drop it, I'll be down to just one video a week instead of four as I don't have enough sim racing content to fill out the channel.
I do still enjoy playing the RPG's and making the videos, but when I get so few views it almost seems pointless to spend 2-3 hours per video.

I guess I'm getting disheartened about my youtube venture in general as I have a bad habit of looking at other peoples channels and seeing how fast they grow...while my own growth seems to go slower and slower.

I really don't know what to do here...maybe I'm just doing too many things wrong and don't know about it.

A lot of people spam people on Twitter and tell people to subscribe and thats why they have a higher sub count but they 99% never make it further than that on YT, don't worry about it dude

I say keep doing the Bloodborne walkthrough if you enjoy it. But if you want faster growth, walkthrough or pure gameplay are simply not good enough.

When was Bloodborne released? Single player games with no moddability / huge fanbase tends to be phased out of popular interest rather quickly. Even if it's a triple A game that's hyped during its release.

You also need unique contents, unique either in their informational value, or something else. Check Bloodborne forums / subreddit if there's any, and see what the popular topics / issues are, then tackles them on your videos. (although with single player games, this is hard)

Good luck :)

Gaming may just not have been the best choice, but not really anything else I want to do a channel about...and it's really hard, if not near impossible to find a niche considering the games I like.

RPG's and Simulators...it's more or less all I play and what I wanted to theme my channel around.

I'm pretty sure the simulator (racing simulator I presume?) games market is quite huge, and there's as many simulator games communities out there as the game themselves.

Since you play iRacing, have you tried checking the iRacing forum / social media communities out? There might be some popular issues / discussions going on regarding things related to the game. (things that people don't like, etc)

My iRacing videos get quite a lot of views, 30-40 normally...so they're not the problem, I know the community is very invested...it's the RPG side that's the problem so far.
It's not just racing sims though but most simulators, truck, combat flight, etc...I just don't have enough content there to fill out the channel as I play both sims and RPG's about 50/50.

It's not for a lack of ideas for videos, I have enough ideas to keep me busy for the next couple of years...but so far I've gotten no feedback on the videos themselves except for "don't use an intro"...so I don't know if people are really interested in the RPG part of the channel or if the RPG and simulator gaming groups aren't as interchangeable as I had thought.

Well, the thing about single player RPG games is there's usually little room to improve as there's nothing much to show besides the gameplay itself. And a large portion of those have most likely gone to the already-popular YouTubers out there who also play the games. Because no matter how you twist it, it's still the same game. That's why most popular Skyrim-focused channels relies heavily on the game's modding community, as they make the game different, thus more room for improvement and fresh content.

If that's not the problem with Bloodborne, then try promoting your videos more heavily wherever appropriate, and make fresh type of contents.

Guess I'm kinda screwed then, as those are the types of games I like to play...but yes, even when a new game comes out (like Dark Souls 3 in a bit), all the views will go to the more famous youtubers and I simply have no ideas on how to stand out.

And problem with promoting is that not all forums etc allow it.
